Job Preparation Training for Former Remington Arms Workers
Updated: Feb 24
Our Women's Employment and Resource Center staff at Empowered Pathways recently partnered with Workforce Development and Herkimer College to offer computer training and interviewing skills to former Remington workers.
“Kathy and I (Kathy was virtual, I was on-site) had the privilege of spending some time with former Remington Arms workers over the last two weeks while we taught basic MS Word, Excel, and Job Interview Skills ... what an amazing group of people! They managed to make teaching computer skills fun!" said Stephanie Eghigian, Executive Director of Empowered Pathways.
Many thanks to the Workforce Development Institute and Herkimer College for making these classes possible! Hopefully, we'll be doing more with these folks in the future.
