Job Opening: Restorative Practices Coordinator

Empowered Pathways seeks a Restorative Practices Coordinator to work with families in conflict and at-risk youth. This position is an opportunity to work with a dynamic team of dispute resolution professionals who are dedicated to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Full-time position = 35 hours per week. Four days in office and one work from home day per week after 4 months of employment. Pay Range: $38,000 to $40,000 annually.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provision of Direct Services:

  • The selected candidate will agree to be trained (by Empowered Pathways) and certified in family group conferencing, family team meetings, basic mediation, parenting plan mediation, conflict coaching, restorative practices, and other dispute resolution practices.

  • Provide a variety of restorative based mediation services to at risk youth and their parents.

  • To act as a liaison between the agency and youth services providers throughout the community including local schools, Family Court, Department of Probation, and Department of Social Services.

  • Assist staff with family cases that are referred for family group conferencing, family team meetings, parent-teen mediation, conflict coaching, and school attendance mediation.

  • Maintenance of all paper and computer-based client records, case notes, and other records.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to demonstrate cultural sensitivity and work with a diverse group of people, with proven ability to build meaningful relationships with students and families.

  • Demonstrated initiative and skills in the following areas: relationship and community building, communication, conflict resolution, creativity, problem solving, decision making, and time management

  • Willingness to be trained in a variety of mediation practices.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience – recent grads encouraged to apply.

  • Must have the ability to work cooperatively and amicably with a team of highly trained professionals.

  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
