To The Future
​In 2016, Empowered Pathways’ Women’s Employment & Resource Center helped Emily secure an office administration job. But when the pandemic started, Emily became unemployed. Feeling alone and defeated, she remembered the support she had received from the WERC program and reached out immediately. Emily was enrolled in the Project PIVOT (Providing Interactive Virtual Office Training), which taught her virtual platforms like Zoom, DocuSign, and Google Docs.
Within weeks of completing the class, she secured a position working for a local non-profit.

Javon struggled with school attendance due to anxiety and learning difficulties. Although the school made multiple attempts to reengage him in classes, they were unsuccessful. Javon’s family turned
to Empowered Pathways for attendance mediation services. In this process, an attendance plan, agreed upon by Javon, his parents, and the school, provided the support he needed to return to his classes. Javon reported that during the mediation process the mediator took steps to ensure
his voice was heard. Javon returned to school with a support system to aid his progress.
Unfortunately, Emily and Javon’s situations are not unique. Every day Empowered Pathways assists people facing unemployment or embroiled in disputes that are emotionally challenging. This year we are, once again, asking for your support. By sponsoring a “stepping stone” or “pathway light” for our Pathway to the Future Campaign, you will ensure that people like Emily and Javon will receive the very best we have to offer. Your generous support will help us as we continue:

Providing support services to youth engaged in the criminal justice system.

Helping children gain the tools that they need to handle conflicts in their lives.

Assisting people with disabilities, who are unable to advocate for themselves, gain access to expedited quality health care services.

Assisting women on their journey to become self-sufficient through our supportive job training and placement services.

Giving people the opportunity to communicate with one another and mend damaged relationships.
For a donation of just $50 for a stepping stone or $200 each for a pathway light, your name will be proudly displayed on the Pathway to the Future wall in our office now through the end of 2022.
You may also want to consider a stepping stone or pathway light as a gift in honor or memory of a loved one, in celebration of a special life event, or simply to show your support of the work we do.
Whether we are helping families peacefully resolve conflicts, supporting women as they gain new skills for the workplace, or ensuring that people with developmental disabilities have quick access to medical care, Empowered Pathways’ highly trained professionals are there to gently guide and support you through these complex situations. As the requests for these services increase, your contribution is critically important. With your kind support, Empowered Pathways will become even more uniquely responsive as we continue to create solutions and move forward.
